Trading Plan Workshop

A full-day session where you leave with a draft plan built around the technical signals you actually intend to trade.

Workshop room with traders working on chart printouts

Who this is for

Independent traders who already read charts but struggle to convert observations into repeatable rules. You might know candlestick patterns and trend lines, yet find yourself improvising entries when a setup appears. This workshop is for you if you trade FX, indices, or equities on daily or four-hour timeframes and want a documented process before adding more capital.

What you will produce

By the end of the day you will have a draft trading plan — typically four to eight pages — that includes:

  • Markets and sessions you trade, with explicit exclusions
  • Two or three signal setups written as IF/THEN conditions
  • Stop-loss placement rules tied to structure (swing lows, range boundaries)
  • Position sizing based on a fixed percentage risk per trade
  • A pre-market checklist and end-of-day review template

How the day runs

Morning sessions focus on market selection and signal definition. We mark up charts together, debate what counts as a valid trigger, and reject setups that cannot be described precisely. After lunch, we write the plan sections in order: entries, invalidation, targets, and sizing. The final hour is a walkthrough where another participant reads your rules aloud — if they cannot follow them, we rewrite until they can.

What is included

  • Full-day facilitation with a maximum of six participants
  • Printed workbook and plan template
  • Chart markup examples for your chosen markets
  • Follow-up email with session notes within three working days

What is not included

  • Broker setup, tax advice, or account funding guidance
  • Ongoing trade signals or live market commentary after the session
  • Guarantee of profitability — this is training in planning discipline

Location and delivery

In-person sessions run at our Ripon training room. Online sessions use video call with shared chart screens and the same workbook sent as a PDF. Both formats cover identical material.

Preparation

Bring chart access for one or two markets you actively watch. Have three months of history visible. No special software required — we work with whatever charting tool you already use.
